A day of music, performance and workshops to celebrate the black and brown environmental movement is coming to Bristol.
Come We Grow is an exploration of environmentalism through the creative arts. Started in London in 2019, Come We Grow will be held in Bristol for the first time this Sunday, January 29, at the Rose Green Centre, Gordon Road BS5 7DR.
The event, which runs from 3.00pm until 9.00pm, includes wellbeing workshops, environmental artists and speakers, DJs and plant-based food.
Activities through the day include soil trail wellbeing, Robba African dance, a gardening workshop, flower arrangement, and wellbeing talks with Gnisha Bevan of the Black Seeds Network and many others.
It is organised by the May Garden Project, a London-based grassroots organisation working to empower marginalised groups to address poverty, disempowerment and access to resources and influence. They provide ways for people to live sustainably and challenge power structures by connecting with nature, food and creative arts.
