On Friday (June 8) a small rally was held in Broadmead to celebrate the resignation of Boris Johnson as prime minister the day before.

On Wednesday, the day before Johnson’s resignation, a flyer was circulated for a demo calling on the prime minister to resign following a number of resignations from senior and junior ministers.

With Johnson taking the step himself, the demo was changed to a celebration and a chance for representatives of some of Bristol’s politically active groups to share their thoughts on what should happen next.
